Ingredients

  • 12 oz Shrimp
  • 13 oz Cajun Andouille Sausage
  • 2 Bell Peppers
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil

Seasonings

  • 2 tsp Cajun Seasoning
  • tsp Onion Powder
  • tsp Garlic Powder
  • tsp Italian Seasoning
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • Salt to taste

Optional Ingredients

  • Rice
  • Green Onion
  • Parsley

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the sliced Cajun-style sausage to the skillet. Cook the sausage, stirring occasionally, until it's browned and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove the cooked sausage from the skillet and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if needed. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant. Then remove the onions and bell pepper from the pan.
  • Season your shrimp with 1 tsp of Cajun seasoning and a ½ tsp on onion powder, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Add your shrimp to the skillet and let cook for just a few minutes before adding your sausage and vegetables back to the pan.
  • Sprinkle the remaining Cajun seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and paprika over the shrimp, sausage, and vegetables in the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir everything together and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are pink and opaque and the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Once everything is cooked through and well combined, remove the skillet from the heat.
  • Serve the Cajun shrimp and sausage stir fry immediately, either on its own or over cooked rice or pasta for a complete meal.
  • Enjoy your delicious Cajun-inspired one-pan meal!
